Introducing the Timeline
The animation script consists of many small parts or sequences. The Timeline tab on the Script page allows you to add expressions, gestures, facial movements, and special effects to the complete timeline or to the individual sequences. Thus you can customize the model’s face to show specific movements and expressions that match the speech or text of the script.
The complete track or the script sequence is displayed under the Timeline tab. Click anywhere on the timeline or move the cursor to see the time display at that point.
Double-click anywhere in the Voice frame to select the complete track. Click and drag across the track to select a partial sequence. The preview window displays which part of the script you have selected.
To apply a voice effect, facial expression, special effect, or movement to only a selected part of the track, select the required part of the timeline and then select the type of effect to be applied by selecting through the Expression options (, , , , , , ). After selecting the effect, click the Expression button again to specify and apply the effect.
The time display displays the following times:
-
Current Time: Current time location where the cursor is placed
-
Target Length: Length of selected sequence
-
Start: Start Time of selected sequence
-
End: End Time of selected sequence
-
Length: Total script time
Use the playback control tools to play the selected sequence as required.
